At Messiah we are about “creating environments for life transformation”. Our adult classes are designed for life transformation not just information.  We would encourage you to view a brief video “Mission and Beliefs” to understand more about why we offer the classes we do here at Messiah.  We hope that each Sunday morning is life transforming for you whether you gather with your Faith Family for worship or whether you are with us through live streaming of our worship at 9:30 am.  We want your worship with us to grow your “Faith Circle”, so you can leave filled up with God’s love, grace and truth as you go about your week.  During the school year we offer a variety of classes to equip you to bring Jesus and your faith into key areas of your life.  Our core classes are Building Healthy Marriages, Revive, Parenting, and I Was Broke, But Now I’m Not.  Below are summaries of each of these classes.  We believe that these core classes will be of value to almost all of us in either our own personal life or in our being able to encourage and help people with interact with on a regular basis. In addition, we offer other courses that will help you with other concerns and life circumstance you may be facing. Summaries of some recent classes offered are also listed below.  Our adult growth classes are scheduled in 5-6 week blocks in the fall, winter and late winter/ early spring typically on Wed. evenings.  Child care is provided for those who sign up in advance for it.  As classes are scheduled, dates and times will be posted. You can register at church or by calling the church office.

Minister led study. This spring we will continue study and application of the book of Colossians to our faith and life. Tuesdays 9:30 to 10:30 am through Memorial Day.

Come and get to know some amazing women here at Messiah. The time is informal, but very transforming. We will be covering the truth project.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY - Tuesdays, 10:00am - 12:00pm

BUILDING HEALTHY MARRIAGES - Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm, Starting February 20th

Want a better marriage? Marriages are soaring having used these simple tools in their daily routine. You’ll not be asked to share anything about your marriage. This is between you and your spouse.

DEEPER WALK - Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm, Starts February 20th

Deeper Walk is a learning and experiential opportunity for students and families to grow deeper in their walk with key Biblical concepts: Communion (The Sacraments), Prayer, Worship, Faith(Following Christ) and an overview of the scriptures as a whole. Deeper Walk is geared toward students and families in grades 6th through 8th and meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in three 5-week sessions over the year.

Session #1 October 3rd through November 7th 2012
Session #2 January 9th through February 10th 2013
Session #3 February 20th through March 20th 2013.

DIVORCE CARE - Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm
Divorced? Separated? Find help, hope and healing through God and others going through similar situations.  Get a fresh start and practical steps for piecing your life back together.  Fall and Winter sessions of DivorceCare are scheduled each year. CARING FOR AGING PARENTS - Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm, Starts February 20

If you are faced with the care of an aging parent now or see it coming down the road, or if you simply want to learn what you can do to make things easier for your family as you grow older, this class will provide you with great information, encouragement and the support of others.

WONDERS OF THE WORLD OF PARENTING - February 8th, 6:30-9:00pm

The event features Dan Seaborn of Winning at Home ministries in Holland, Michigan, as well as the music of Mark Harris (formerly of the group 4Him). Dan will share his adventures, mishaps, and Biblical parenting tips through loving and humorous accounts of how his family deals with life. Mark will join Dan on stage and reveal his heart for families through stories and music. The event will be high-energy, funny, encouraging, and incredibly practical. The cost of the event will be only $10 per ticket, and will be on sale in late December. This amazing parenting event will be held at Midland Evangelical Free Church (7221 North Jefferson Avenue Midland, Michigan, 48642).
